Recovery Support at

Phoenix Recovery

Phoenix Recovery Services, LLC offers a program that provides Substance Use and Prevention (SUPR) licensed Recovery Home services for men and women 18 years of age and older. Phoenix Recovery Home offers a structured homelike environment for persons with diagnosed substance abuse issues to obtain the necessary skills to achieve recovery. Participants reside in the Recovery Home for a period as assessed for each individual. During their stay residents will prepare residents who have an alcohol and substance use disorder to obtain and practice the skills to maintain recovery, become self-sustaining financially, obtain stable permanent housing and become self-reliant recovery members of the community.  Recovery Homes are “alcohol and drug free housing components whose rules, peer-led groups, staff activities and/or other structured operations are directed toward maintenance of recovery for persons who exhibit treatment resistance, relapse potential and/or lack of suitable recovery living environments or who recently have completed substance abuse treatment services or who may be receiving such treatment services at another licensed facility.”

Social Activities

For many people entering recovery being able to find fun and exciting activities seem to be their biggest fear with recovery living. Early in recovery there is a huge void to fill after the effort and time put into using drugs and alcohol. Individuals new to recovery often feel they have to give up “fun” in recovery. Actually, the opposite is true. Here at Phoenix Recovery, we show our residents a taste of this by planning and participating in activities for the participants to enjoy with recovery living. Year-round recovery related social activities are a huge part of the recovery process for Phoenix Recovery residents.  "We are not a glum lot."

Housing Placement

recovery action

The most important element of any program participation is discharge planning - "where do I go from here?"  Statistics prove that the highest instances of relapse occur when an individual returns to their previous living environment.  There it is critical that housing conducive to recovery is obtained.  The goal at Phoenix Recovery is to assist in that process beginning with:

  1. Education on the importance of recognizing the dangers or triggers associated with returning to previous using situations.
  2. Development of a recovery support network to assist in the recovery process after discharge from the program.
  3. Obtaining sustainable income that will allow for the ability to pay for that housing in the new location.

Phoenix Recovery assist our residents with obtaining all three of these goals.  In addition, Phoenix has an extensive housing referral network that allows our residents to transition to safe, clean, affordable permanent housing.

Home

People in recovery need a safe, stable place to live.  This housing should be a place where the individual feels secure in sharing and living out their beliefs, are supported, and personal recovery can be fulfilled.

Purpose

It is important for individuals in recovery to partake in meaningful activities on a daily basis. Often times these include self-help involvement, volunteering, going to work, or attending a creative class or group activity. Having the independence and resources to be an active and participating member of society is essential to purposeful and meaningful drug and alcohol-free living.

Community

Employment Assistance

Many new residents at Phoenix arrive with little to no employment history. While some residents did have jobs or careers, their relationship with their jobs was often marred by the consequences of regular substance abuse. Others find themselves in dead-end jobs or life-draining careers that they did not choose for themselves. During active substance use, people are not in control of their own lives. Career ambitions fall by the wayside to make way for more harmful priorities, and even eking out the most meager living can be a struggle.

Employment support is part of a unique approach at Phoenix Recovery, one where the focus is on long-term sobriety and financial independence beyond the walls of the recovery home—that removing drugs and alcohol only begins the process of rebuilding a broken life.

Phoenix Recovery offers on-site Job Readiness Training, but also has a network of community partners that offer a varierty of workforce development services.  Some examples:

Job Training/Placement

  1. Forklift Driving
  2. Culinary
  3. Food Services
  4. Warehouse
  5. Professional Staffing
